Inadequate Funding May Hamper Indonesia Health Insurance System

On January 1st, the government rolled out an ambitious new universal Indonesia health insurance program, which aims to cover all of the country"s 247 million citizens by 2019. The idea of what would eventually be the world"s largest single-payer healthcare system drew plenty of praise, but its implementation did not.
